Earth Week! 2025

April 22nd is Earth Day.

HopCat has been committed to environmental sustainability since we first opened in 2008. In 2025 alone, we have composted over 1 MILLION pounds of food waste. We are committed to continuing to divert this waste from our local landfills for the rest of the year.

To celebrate this carbon footprint win, we are celebrating Earth Day by hosting Earth WEEK at HopCat. We have partnered with four local, sustainable environmental charities. From April 21st-27th we will offer limited time Earth Week cocktails, including a Mother Earth Matcharita, Dirt Cup-Tini, and Snake Bite cocktail. Part of our Earth Week proceeds will be donated to the Michigan Nature Association, Make Food Not Waste, Great Lakes Great Responsibility, and the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.

Guests in our restaurants can also let their server or bartender know they’d like to donate $1 to our cause, in which they can sign and color in a planet earth to be posted on the walls of our restaurant.

We make soil, not trash.
