Bell’s will be doing their annual bar crawl, and we’re the first stop! At least Oberon will be on all day, but the others might not last as long…

Easter Brunch/April Fool's Day!

Join us this Easter Sunday from 10am-3pm for Brunch Right Meow! Seriously, a White Russian inspired waffle? A Macaroni & Cheese Sandwich? We make food your mom would make, if she loved craft beer, and hopefully she does! If not, no need to worry. We also have an amazing build-your-own Bloody Mary bar for just $5. So, forget about that silly bunny with those weird eggs. Our cat is way cooler.

Super Dank

It’s April 20th, and that means it’s time to grab your best bud and blaze a trail to HopCat. In observance of this 4/20 holiday, we celebrate the very distinguished family of Cannabaceae, which consists of two members: Cannabis (hemp/weed) and Humlus (hops) by tapping the headiest and hardcore resinous beers we could find. Some old favorites, some new discoveries, but all 100% Super…Dank! While supplies last, we will be giving away custom Super Dank themed BIC lighters in store. Record Store Day

This year, on Record Store Day – Saturday April 21st, through the end of 2018, we declare everyday Record Store Day! Bring in a receipt from any same day purchase from a record shop, and get a free order of crack fries with any HopCat purchase. **

“Music is part of HopCat’s DNA. I wanted to do this as a way of showing support for independent record stores that survive and thrive by creating cool places for people to discover great music,” says HopCat Founder Mark Sellers. “Providing a free order of Crack Fries is also our way of saying thank you to our guests who support their local record stores.”

 We’ll also have Dogfish Head in house with some awesome beers, cool swag, and entry forms for a chance to win a Crosley Record Player shipped from the Dogfish Head brewery, to your front door!

Earth Day

We take pride in our sustainability initiatives, especially the ones that allow us the opportunity to partner with urban farms, community gardens & groups that are inspiring sustainable growth within their local communities.

We believe that creating productive green spaces within urban environments is one of the most impactful ways to further positive change. This includes cleaning up abandoned & vacant lots, rebuilding healthy soil, harvesting rainwater, supporting wildlife & local pollinators, planting trees or gardens & growing healthy, organic & accessible produce for local communities, often creating jobs & stimulating the local economy. 

For Earth Day, HopCat Kalamazoo is teaming up with several different sponsors to raise money for healthy, productive green space through Common Ground. This collaboration of Fair Food Matters, the Kalamazoo County Land Bank, and Kalamazoo Nature Center is designed to support community gardens throughout Kalamazoo County with a special emphasis on those that serve low-income and food-insecure residents.

Participating breweries will donate $1 of every pint sold to a charitable foundation, which HopCat will match up to $300. 

Also, a representative from a designated charity will have a table set up in HopCat, to share more information about the great work that they do within our community, as well as opportunities to get involved!
