Super Dank

It’s April 20th, that means it’s time to grab your best bud and blaze a trail to HopCat.In observance of this 4/20 holiday, we celebrate the very distinguished family of Cannabaceae, which consists of two members: Cannabis (hemp/marijuana) and Humlus (hops) by featuring some of our favorite cottonmouth quenching brews.  We will add to the celebration the best way we know how, with copious amounts of beers laced with the dankest of hops. 


While supplies last, we will be giving away custom Super Dank themed BIC lighters in store. Keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for a chance to win a custom Super Dank Zippo lighter.

Record Store Day


This year, on Record Store Day – Saturday April 21st, through the end of 2018, we declare everyday Record Store Day! Bring in a receipt from any same day purchase from a record shop, and get a free order of crack fries with any HopCat purchase. **


“Music is part of HopCat’s DNA. I wanted to do this as a way of showing support for independent record stores that survive and thrive by creating cool places for people to discover great music,” said HopCat Founder Mark Sellers. “Providing a free order of Crack Fries is also our way of saying thank you to our guests who support their local record stores.”


We’ll also have Dogfish Head in house with some awesome beers, cool swag, and entry forms for a chance to win a Crosley Record Player shipped from the Dogfish Head brewery, to your front door!

Earth Day

We take a lot of pride in our sustainability initiatives, especially the ones that allow us the opportunity to partner with urban farms, community gardens & groups that are inspiring sustainable growth within their local communities.


We believe that creating productive green spaces within urban environments is one of the most impactful ways to further positive change. This includes cleaning up abandoned and vacant lots, rebuilding healthy soil, harvesting rainwater, supporting wildlife and local pollinators, planting trees or gardens, and growing healthy, organic, and accessible produce for local communities. These efforts often create jobs and stimulate the local economy.


This Earth Day (4/22) we will be partnering some like minded breweries & raising funds for Youth Farm, doing just that. For Earth Day, HopCat Minneapolis is teaming up with different sponsors to raise money for healthy, productive green space through Youth Farm. This nonprofit provides year-round programs for youth ages 9-24 to educate and train through gardens and greenhouses. They feed families through community dinners & neighborhood events and create stronger, more engaged citizens and happier neighbors.

Join us for a 5 beer, 4-course beer dinner featuring our friends at Broken Clock Brewing Co-op. Joseph Drake, a man of many talents, will be providing us with the best possible food pairing to accompany these delicious beers. Jeremy Mathison and crew will be in attendance to help the one and only Jordan Goetz, HopCat’s Beer Program Manager Extraordinaire, host this one-of-a-kind beer dinner.

Summit will be creating recipes for 5 different Randal’s from the brewer himself, Damien McConn. We will be having 10 lines with 5 different beers. Each beer will have the original flavor as well as the randalized version! Taste them side-by-side and see what infusions can be created with some traditional styles to a not so traditional approach.
