Beer Dinner – Greenbush Brewing

Tuesday, June 26nd  @ 6:30PM

Join us for a much-anticipated beer dinner with the rad folks from Greenbush Brewing in Sawyer, MI!  We're beyond thrilled to bring you this bright & flavorful lineup of 5 fantastic brews paired with 4 courses from our creative & talented executive chef, Matthew Palen.

Welcoming Beer:  Traktor – Cream Ale – 6.1%

First Course:  Tuna, Avocado, & Mango Sushi Rolls: Thin sliced sashimi tuna, fresh mango, and creamy avocado slices rolled in sushi rice and spicy seaweed wrap; served with soy sauce and pickled vegetables.

Paired w/: Star Chicken Shotgun – American IPA – 6.8%

Second Course: Chicken and Bell Pepper Orzo Risotto: Tender orzo pasta with fire roasted bell peppers, chicken stock, and pecorino romano cheese form a creamy, decadent risotto; topped with crispy chicken cracklins.

Paired w/ Sunspot – Hefeweizen – 6%

Third Course: Wild Boar Sausage with Fire Grilled Belgian Endive: Roasted wild boar sausaged accompanied by fire grilled Belgian endive and red pepper coulis.

Paired w/ Distorter- Porter -7.2%

Dessert: Lavender and Hazelnut Chocolate Meringues: Light and crispy dark chocolate meringues topped with chopped hazelnut and scented with fragrant lavender.

Paired w/ Power Nap – American Stout w/ coffee & chamomile (collaboration w/ Transient Artisan Ales)

It's a whale of an ale! Unicorns are real! On the first Tuesday of every month, we raid our cellar and tap one of the most rare, special, or just downright delicious beers we can find. We like to call them Bangerz! Every Banger will be tapped at open, but when it's gone it's gone. We will have no regrets. Will you?

This month’s Banger is:

  •  Frankenmuth Brewery {Frankenmuth, MI} Barrel Aged Oh My Quad! – 11.5% ABV

OMQ! (Barrel Aged) is a complex, boldly flavored Belgian style Quadrupel Ale made with a La-Chouffe yeast and aged in barrels that rested bourbon for six years and then brandy for another two years. High gravity, low hop bitterness, dark fruit flavors and robust malty aroma characterize this smoothly balanced Belgian Quad.

In a continued celebration of July’s Belgian National Holiday, we’ve selected 5 of our favorite Belgian brews to pair with 4 delicious courses from our talented chefs!


Welcoming Beer:  Saison Dupont / Saison / 6.5%


First Course: Red endive with dried cranberries, pecans and feta with a honey and caraway dressing.

Second Course: Waterzooi - a rich traditional Belgian fish stew with vegetables.

Third Course: Stoemp - a staple of Brussels cuisine that blends mashed potatoes and vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, carrots, onion, and kale—served with banger sausages.

Perrin Brewing Co. {Comstock Park, MI} No Rules – 15% ABV

This gigantic 15% Imperial Porter is deceptively smooth and subtly sweet with layers of flavor that never seem to end. Some say it tastes like a Mounds candy bar that’s been dipped over and over again in rich chocolate and soaked in bourbon. Other people find flavors of coconut, cinnamon, toffee, vanilla, and coffee — and they would also be correct. This beer is special and there’s a reason why it was named as the top beer in the World.

A six-course tasting menu paired with beers from craft beer’s favorite family—the Canarchy! Join us for two beers from Perrin, two from Oskar Blues, and three from Cigar City, paired with small plates created by our talented chefs!

Welcoming Beer:   Mama’s Little Yella Pils / Czech Bohemian Pilsner / 4.7%

First Course:Caprese Phyllo Puffs—flaky phyllo dough filled and baked with fresh mozzarella cheese, roma tomatoes, and fresh basil, topped with balsamic vinegar reduction

Paired w/Passion Fruit Gose / Gose with Passion Fruit / 4.5%

Second Course:Smoked Salmon Mousse—a rich and creamy blend of smoked salmon, neufchatel cheese, scallions, and roasted garlic; served with marble rye toast points

Third Course:Fire Roasted Chicken Wings with Mole Negro—fire grilled chicken wings tossed in an earthy and spicy black mole sauce

Fourth Course:Sesame Garlic Chicken Egg Rolls—crispy wonton wrapper filled and fried with shredded broccoli, carrots, cabbage, grilled chicken, and sesame garlic sauce; served with hot mustard and blood orange sauce for dipping

Fifth Course:Adobo Pork Tostada—crispy corn tortilla topped with adobo braised pork, shaved red onions, cilantro, chipotle lime crema
