Feel Good Tap Feature (July)

******$1 for every pint sold will go to the Flint Child Health and Development Fund.******

"The Flint water crisis has touched the hearts of people nationwide, and the response to flintkids.org is inspiring and deeply appreciated. To date, we have raised over $18 million in gifts for the Flint Child Health and Development Fund and have awarded nearly $5.6 Million in grants. Donating to the Flint Child Health & Development Fund is the single-most important action you can take to ensure long-term change for the better in response to our water crisis. We know the needs of Flint children exposed to lead, particularly those most vulnerable – children ages 0-6 – are ongoing and long-term. When you make a donation to the Flint Child Health & Development Fund, you can be assured that your gift will be used for the long term health and development needs of Flint children exposed to lead."

Belgian National Day

Belgian National Day is July 21

Belgium’s national holiday commemorates July 21st, 1831 on which Leopold of Saxe-Cobourg swore allegiance to the new Belgian constitution, thus becoming the nation’s first monarch. The king’s vow marked the start of the independent state of Belgium under a constitutional monarchy and parliament.

We’ll celebrate Belgium’s independence day through the weekend in classic HopCat fashion – with our favorite beer & food offerings!

Bangerz Only! (August)

It’s a whale of an ale! Unicorns are real! On the first Tuesday of every month, we raid our cellar and tap one of the rarest, most special, or just downright delicious beers we can find. We like to call them Bangerz!

This month’s Banger is:

Brooklyn Brewing {Brooklyn, NY}

Cloaking Device // Red Wine BA Brett Fermented Porter // 10.5% ABV // Snifter

“At first glance, the true power of Brooklyn Cloaking Device is hidden. All at once there comes a wave of Brett-powered earthy aromas, a thrilling rush of cacao-like fruitiness, hints of vanilla and pineapple, a touch of acidity, underlying forest-floor funk & the powerful murmur of French oak barrels. A beautifully dry finish cuts through and leaves you wondering how we got the drop on you. This is the true power of the Cloaking Device: the element of surprise."

Every Banger will be tapped at open, but when it's gone, it's gone. We will have no regrets. Will you?
